I am Captain Joseph Banning and I am the Commanding Officer of the USS Sentinel, an Intrepid Class Light Explorer.
The USS Sentinel is a Play by Simm Management System (PbSMS) Role-playing Game and is part of the Obsidian Fleet. More specifically, this ship is the Flagship for Task Group 21-C “The Guardians” which is part of Task Force 21 “Wolf Star Squadron”.

Two New Crew!

I would like to welcome our two newest additions to the Sentinel family! Please join me in welcoming Lieutenant (JG) Deborah Shearer and Ensign Burk Wiscasset! They fill the positions of Chief Engineer and Communications Specialist respectively.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
As you can see, our Personnel List has undergone a major couple of changes. First of all, and the most noticable, our XO has decided to not post for quite some time, giving me plenty of reason to deactivate her. After conferencing with our Second Officer, Lieutenant Commander Setok has agreed to take over as Executive Officer, along with a nice promotion to Commander. He will be acting as Temporary Chief Engineer also until a suitable replacement can be found.
Secondly, with the departure of Setok as Second Officer, Lieutenant Commander Tibok will be taking the place of the ship's Second Officer. The Chain of Command list will reflect these changes shortly.
To boot, we have also gained our third (yes, third!) Chief Medical Officer in the form of Lieutenant Commander Derek Murray. Please, can everyone make him welcome! I assure you, we have already done a Joint Post (to be activated later), and I must say, he is quite a character!
So, please congratulate our Promoted, Reassigned and New Crew Members respectively!

I realise that we have just come from a Joint Mission where things were a bit confusing, but that is no excuse to see a drop in posting. Quite a few of you are so close to recieving strikes that I could not slip a hair between the gap. Please guys, we are the Flagship of a Task Group, and we should be posting up near the low hundreds for the quality of simmers that we have. Next month, I want to see us hit one hundred posts.
Now, something to challenge you. Department heads, I now pose you with the trick task of rotating your departmental NPC's for some variety! I congratulate Lieutenant Markinson for suggesting the idea, as I am finding that our old NPC's are just that, old. I would like to see that all the NPC's have been rotated before the start of the next mission, which will certainly be as far away from Klingons and Romulans!
Please guys, lets really start posting.
